What on earth do you claim feathers are going to do to hurt the soil?   At worse it is basically inert, at best there should be some mineral and organic matter value. 

Lots of poultry byproducts spread on this farm.   It's a round trip deal....we send them corn to make byproducts, they send us byproducts to make corn.  It's one of those symbiotic relationships.
