NE Mo | I remember Dr Thompson and his work on weather and commodities. Very sharp guy. He laid his thoughts heavily on the 18.9 lunar cycle, which is still probably working. Back then, he told us that corn yields increased at a rate of 5% per year. ( maybe beans about half that) That is probably still true if you look at longer term averages. Short term, there are spikes both up and down. Genetics and weather are having an effect, but over the longer term I don't know Ed. | |
