I agree with you all. However, the prices for 2008 are pretty relative with 2007. Just for example if it took 2.5 bu of crop to pay your premium it will be close this year because of the prices.

One of you mentioned RA without HPO and claims. BAD DEAL! Without the harvest price the adjuster hast to thake the fall price times the production to count. This can reduce a loss dramatically or knock a producer out of a loss completly. I sat in a Farmer meeting this winter and a U of I extension guy was pushing RA w/o HPO over the APH if a producer was trying to cut back premium. He said at least the producer would get the up swing....WRONG. He just couldn't understand. He would get the down swing and even get penalized for it.
