WOW!!
2 years of 45 bushel soybeans and 2 years of 150 bushel corn would be a removal of
335 pounds of MAP and 330 pounds of Potash.
$700 / ton MAP
$400 / ton Potash
Total cost per acre $183 This is not counting a deduction of Map and Potash if starter fertilizer is used or if you are trying to draw down your soil test levels. With todays cost of fertilizer, it takes a big bank roll to spread fertilizer! I know that I have a hard time writing the checks everytime I spread fertilizer.
