Mark-you mentioned you run tramlines, how do you like them, and do they come out right with your spray boom? What are the advantages you see?
Tram lines are pretty inexpensive "precision" guidance. Wheat Tech shows yield gains from them because you control traffic patterns and the adjacent rows produce more grain from less competition and you will lose what you drive on anyway after the fungicide application at Feeke's 10+.
I have a 30' drill and a 90' sprayer. The tram kit on the drill leaves the tram on the second of every third pass in the field. I could probably gets some pics of the unit next week sometime if you are interested or hunt down the web site. It's been a while because I bought the kit in '02. It's made for air drills. Back when I had a 30' drill and a 60' sprayer, I just blocked one row off to leave the tram lines. |
