If you have low soil test levels, you might get more response in the short term from placing the same amount of fertilizer closer to the seed. If you have adequate to excessive levels, it won't make any difference.
It's a good rule of thumb that anyone who says you can change the amount of fertility required to grow a crop by using a different product or placement is selling snake oil. | |
