sw corner Ia | I had this last year and it looked about like yours. It actually yeilded very close to a normal good crop. Mine was flattened when it was a little shorter than this but it goosenecked the last half of plant straight up. Big problem was harvest, I put on a set of four rollacones on a 6 row head and they worked so well it was just shocking. I could run 3 to 4 mph and my neighbors with plastic corn heads and no attachments were just crawling and sometimes going one way. Took me
about a week to glue the thing on my head, with much help from Von who told me about these things and was very happy with it.
I could not use the mini reel that came with it, since it wanted to wrap all the time and I took it off. I don't think I needed it at all, but you do what you need to do. Your corn is farther along than mine was and may not stand up nearly as well, and it is about as bad as it gets. Good luck.. | |
