| It was right around the last week of July or so. Thankfully most corn was already pollinated.
The grain quality was good, just lots of dirt made it into the bin.
One thing I would recommend is to combine the down corn early, before the stalks that are laying on the ground start to rot. It works alot better if the stalk is still somewhat attached to the ground.
Also there is no need in waiting for that corn to dry in the field, it won't, not when it's insulated by several tons of stalks. | |
