Subject: Re: Refuge Acres...how

Chebanse, IL.....

What am I missing? How does that work w/no insecticide of any type on non-Bt seed & no CRW larvae feeding?

If we run out of granular while planting or happen to not turn it on in the right place, you can see bowed stalks (best abv ground sign) easily...every time. That's here...NE IL.

But, they're saying if the conventional corn (= non-RW Bt) plants are "scattered" then they will NOT be affected by CRW larvae. I assume this will also be true of the ECB Bt so we don't have to have a refuge for ECB Bt any longer either? Not many people talk about that refuge though.

This would be great if it works out....but many thought the final salvation was going to be in P1250. So much for "hope".
