We try to be good about it and let our dealer know immediately what we have, just in case he needs it for somebody else. Usually back in his hands within 2 days of being done, sooner if it rains.
But if you're going to return dozens of bags, I could see why they'd balk. With the acceleration in technology, and the concern about maximum yields and old seeds, any carryover for them is waste.
You aren't talking treated beans, are you? It's always been no returns on those. Only treat up to 90% or so of your projections, then you can return the untreated bags. At least that's our rule.
