The absolute most I've ever heard of giving a landlord in this part of the country is 2/5 on crop share. Even then they paid for 2/5 of all fertilizer. Tenant stands all the other costs of working and preparing the ground.
At 50/50 aren't your margins pretty tight? A good drought or insect infestation or some act of god or mother nature and minimal crop insurance probably wouldn't cover your expenses would it?
You guys must really love what you do. Seems to me your working pretty hard for your landlords with that sort of agreement. | |
