Weather is one of those things that is hard to make any concrete statement about. It's a statistics problem which is tough to evaluate mathematically when you're standing in snow and it is -10 deg F, the hay supply is about gone and its two weeks from Easter!

This has certainly been an "old fashioned winter" in the upper midwest, to put it as a WI neighbor did recently.

However one daughter in the Washington DC area says there has been almost no winter there at all.

I would not say global warming is "licked" quite yet although this has certainly been a winter to remember... jmho.
