What's thawing?  We froze up at the end of November and haven't been warm enough all winter to do more than soften the top inch or two of ground.  I don't know how deep the frost is, but it isn't going to come out with just a week of warm weather.  Everybody up here is looking forward to getting rid of the d@$%^^##$ ice that we've been living with since the first of December.

It will probably end up being a 'normal' spring here, though.  Seems we always get worried that it's too wet, too dry, too cold, yet when the end of April rolls around, there are days to get in the field (although maybe not as many or as nice as we'd like).
