Subject: Double crop soybeans

Martinsville, Ohio

Excellent discussion and illustrations.  I agree with Coup for many farmers.

Hate to open can of worms but had a farmer call yesterday wanting advice.  He has SRWW on a CRC or RA premium with hail because his county does not have GRIP for wheat.

He asked about GRIP for double crop soybeans which has to be signed up by the 15th also, right?

His best was 40 bu and worst has been 10 in 25 years, don't know what his avg is.

I couldn't recommend a good program for him and he doesn't want hail on the double crops too.  Beans don't pay here like corn over the years.

What would be your advice kind sir?

Don't want to burn your time when you are busy writing policies.

Thanks Always,

Ed Winkle
