and I know you don't want to wait

But I would do the site preparation this spring and wait till next fall or spring to build

remove all topsoil stumps and I like to replace with materiel that does not retain h2o

Clay is cheaper here than sand and it will shed water

At least wait till the site will finish settling and or
a hard 1 or two inch rain

I did not see if you where going to put in a steel on pillars
or a pole building

I always tried to put in a floor and that is why I always
tried to get mother nature to get the settling over with

make it high enough that the water will run away from the site

takes 4 to 6 inches to make water run away after the snow freezes and thaws

snow makes for some water backing up in the wrong places
