Subject: RE: striptill with NH3 do not try

NorthCentral Illinois
Do not even think about NH3 before planting if planting into that strip. I have seen the consequences of doing that practice in the spring. Friend did it one spring in early April the weather turned dry no rain to dissipate the NH3. When the corn came up it looked fine till the first corn roots hit the NH3 zone. Then it started to stunt the corn killing some and retarding the growth on the plants that survived. I repeat do not attempt to do that with NH3 too many things can go wrong trying it.
