Subject: Insuring 2X beans in Ohio.

First all soybean acreage in the county must have the same insurance plan, except high risk land.

Second, county programs (GRP and GRIP) do not distingush between first crop and 2X crop beans because these programs are index not indemnity programs. The GRP/GRIP insurabiltiy threshold is the planting date. Acreage planted before the final planting date is insured.

The individual yield/revenue programs have more rules/procedure about practices and historic yields (APH). Thus they are more complicated.
