Subject: RE: Lower premium programs and options

What is AT posters opinions about taking lower premium crop insurance programs and buying options or collars?

Does geography make a difference on risk management strategy?

It appears AT posters have established the following parameters of yield ($11 per acre) and high option revenue premiums ($70 per acre).

What will that buy in options strategies?

Is price volitality greater than yield?
