Subject: Ours is under a Glacier.....

Mid Michigan
When the glacier that is covering our wheat in mid michigan retreats back to Canada it will be interesting to see if anything is still under there. Every field around here for miles is covered in an ice sheet and has been for quite some time. There could be an air space under there. I walked back to the woods the other day and anywhere I broke the ice away there was green wheat under there. Dad said he has never seen such a complete ice cover everywhere so he really doesn't know what to make of it. He said who knows, maybe it will protect it from the wind and harsh cold. We will either emerge from it like any other year or thousands of acres of wheat around here will be dead. We should know in about 5-6 weeks.
