You got it right. It takes a minimum of 4 oz. with 6 to 8 being more common for use as a safener. I probably use more 8 because of enhanced activity on henbit.

If you ever have a chance to see test plots with side by sides using 2,4-D with Harmony, it is obvious the effect it has. The "safened" Harmony will have noticably longer heads. I think most people here use a lo-vol ester due to price. When spraying in March there is rarely a drift issue and the very low use rates significantly reduces that risk as well.
