Dalton, OH | I would also like to thank you for all of your open and honest information. You may not know it, but you have helped make a lot of agents more honest with their customers. Some of the information you share is very helpful in making crop insurance coverage decisions, but its also nice to go into a meeting with my agent on the same knowledge level of crop insurance. Before, it always felt like he was talking over my head and I just bought whatever he recommended. Now, I ask some tougher questions of him and make a much more informed decision. You should have heard him squirm when I suggested that we might want to switch to 80% coverage from 85%. He couldn't believe we would ever think of doing that! He claimed we might risk the farm. Then I showed him my numbers and he calmed down a little. I am curious, does the agent make a lot more comission at 85% than 80%?
