Mid Michigan | If you collected the payout on the crop insurance and also got the welfare check from the government isn't it fraud to then go out and cut the crop down and bale it and sell it? I always thought the guy was supposed to go out and knock down what was left with a brush hog or a harrow or something. Wouldn't that be like getting in a car wreck, getting paid off by the insurance company for the car, collecting a settlement from a personal injury attorny and then going to the impound lot and taking your car back and selling it for parts to a junkyard? That is exactly why I won't buy any crop insurance because you are always paying for somebody elses scam. | |
