You're right Ron, on the labeling. Seed is a living thing and the germ can actually vary quite a bit due to the size of the lot produced and the environmental conditions it is stored in. Corn is much more stable than beans. I have a friend in Arkansas and he said most companies in that area have usually tagged 70% germ all year long. He said Monsanto has changed that in the past few years. He said he rarely bought any seed tagged 90 germ until the past few years. I think growing seed sown there is naturally tougher.
