Michigan | There are different rates on the Cruiser Max - it is all company preference. I do believe Pioneer uses the higher rate of Maxim Apron or at least they did a year ago.
If it is early season cold soil planting protection you are looking for Apron Max RTA is your best most cost effective bet.
If the soils warm up then that is probably not even necessary. JMO
Clay - For what it's worth here are some results from Michigan State University Extention done in coop with the Soybean Promo Board, Tare and Project Green. The soils in MI are similar to those in Ontario.
MSU ext in Gratiot Clinton County tested Apron/No treatment/Cruiser Maxx - same variety with the following results

Apron 58.3
No treatment 57.4
Cruiser MAXX 57.3
Plot 2
Apron 63.0
No treatment 61.2
Cruiser MAXX 62.2
MSU Tuscola/Sanilac/ Huron Co Ext - 3 year study Crusier MAX vs. Non treated
