By some of the evidence today it may have been red at one point. I can't really tell for sure. Great grandpa also let some of those gypsy painters paint it in about 1955 squirted it with silver something?? cut with ?? rained the next day most washed off some ran down in the watering trough the bred sows drank it and all died.

To this day I have no use for the traveling painters. Some of us never forget. 

Today a lot of paint is coming off the hope is to strip the old wood siding off sheet with OSB and side with steel. Got the roof replaced last year so it will turn the rain. I want it to last a long time when its finished.

Sort of a lasting tribute to the hard work and sacrifices those before me made. To tear down something with so much family history would make it seem like their lives and dreams were wasted.

Does not make sense economically to most but some times there are other factors that are more important.
