| Last i heard there wasn't a horse market left in NW Iowa. The last time I was at the sale in Cannon Falls, MN I saw some nice broke horses going for $700. Granted if it is a safe kids horse then I figure an extra grand or two will easily pay itself off in peace of mind and safety. Just remember stick with grass hay and straight oats and that the when you add ages of the kid and horse it should be 20. a 10 year old kid and a 10 year old horse is a heck of a lot safer than a 10 year old kid and a 3 year old horse no matter how well it was started. and I would have to disagree with Headroper any App you find in NW Iowa will essentially be a quarter horse with spots anyway and they are no more tempermental than quarter horses in my eyes | |
