Nope, well, not really I guess. Worked for David and Figgins, out of Mankato. We "snuck" into a cornfield down by Dalhart and I got to run one of the 9600 prototypes for a round in one of the fields Neufeld's were picking. That was, oh my, 20 years ago. Still a few big crews on the road, but government regs and costs are keeping them to just a few it seems.
Didn't they run out to California some?
You musta been with them the same year that I was !
Keith Neufeld was running the prototpye CTS for Deere cutting Snead's circles near the NM /T X state line.
Man that was nice clean standing heavy wheat that we cut. They kinda got antsy one day when one fella tried to take some pics of the machinery thru the tail end of the combine.
Doesn't seem like 20 yrs, have a hunch that it was a bit less. |
