BASF has verbally stated they are increasing the price of Headline for the
following reasons:

. both Brazil and Europe have taken considerably more Headline (F500)
in 2008 than in 2007

. pricing/profitability scenario is more favorable in both Brazil and
Europe than in the USA

. 2008 sales costs have increased in the USA

. After increasing the Headline price to a more comparable pricing
scenario with Europe and Brazil BASF USA has no guarantee they will receive
enough product to fulfill the 2nd quarter and 3rd quarter Headline
allocations thru Distribution.
