Subject: RE: gps speed sensor

Near Intersection of I-35 & I-90 Southern Mn.
Generally not - these devices produce a radar like pulse output to be used in place of a radar gun. Even though they use the GPS system to do this they don't output the Lat/Lon position. Their purpose is to replace a radar gun for use with planter monitors, acre counters, spray controllers and the like.

There are low priced GPS receivers that will work with the Yield Monitor but do not produce the pulse output.

Many medium priced GPS receivers have the ability to do both and could be used with the Yield Monitor or in other situations that require a speed input.
