Boyd, WI | A man near us grows sunflowers every year and harvests with a corn head. He estimates about 10-15% harvest loss. I'd think for trying some out it would be fine. I remember him saying he'd combine the field one way only. Can't remember which way the heads are turned when mature and die off. Probably a good idea to plant the rows east and west? I'm too chicken to try some, but every year swear that I will the following season! | |
