Subject: A 4X5 RB has some advantages.

Little River, TX
The most obvious is they fit 2 wide on a truck and not require a wide load permit.
They go 2 wide on most tandem trailers. Usually you can put 6 on and not go higher than one tier. Six 4 x 5 bales should weigh more than three 5 x 6 bales.

A 4 ft wide bale will roll between the wheels wells of a Pickup truck.

Disadvantage is you get to handle more bales, but than again a smaller tractor can be used to move the smaller bales.

It has been my observation that people will end up paying more per ton for the smaller bale than they will for the full sized one, as long as you are selling by the bale.

The big disadvantage besides the baler 4X5 baler having fewer tons per hour capacity, is picking them up with a spear it is possible to push them over on their side, if not careful.
