Just a thought. Every spring, after sitting all winter, it appears my vacuum pump is out, but all it takes is bumping it in reverse. I run a Deere tractor, so all this involves is pushing the cab remote button the opposite way, with reduced hydraulic flow. Then it runs fine the rest of the season. With other tractor brands, I suppose just reverse your pressure side of hose temporarily. If yours does not have a restrictor in the return line, I think I would put one in. I believe you want the fan motor before the restrictor, not after. The bypass hose on the back of the motor on many vacuums is there to reduce fan motor surges. I don't have it on mine, prolly ought to, but never had a stand problem with it like it is. If it ain't broke .......................................
