If you are buying the Patriot from a dealer, make them do a pressure check on the hydro system. They need to check charge pressure, stall pressure, plus run a flow meter check on the wheel motors. This will give you good indication what shape the hydro is in. Check all the hubs for oil level, plus any signs of metal flake. If you pull a plug and have a hub totally full of oil, the seal is out of the wheel motor, or brake unit is leaking, and is dumping hydraulic oil into it. If the oil in the rear hubs is black, the brake unit is probably shot. A Patriot must be at full throttle when it's moved, as charge pressure is what releases the brakes. If it has been moved around at an idle, the brakes will only be partially off, so it'll burn them up.

With a "95", your looking at the old cab. If you can afford it, I would look for a late "96" on to get the new style cab, especially if your looking for a fairly long term investment.

Have also had a coupe at one time. Patriot will spray circles around it, and the coupe always was a dog. That little motor really isn't enough for one in any worked ground conditions, plus that thing was nothing but a nightmare on keeping it going. If I had to have a coupe, it would have to have the cummins in it, not that puke motor.
