| We use a feeder that is 6 1/2 feet square, The bars are horizontal and spaced at 7 inches. We have used them for goats and sheep, the horizontal bars waste less hay then the vertical and does a better job of keeping the goats out of the feeders. It works with both big rounds and big squares.
