North Cental Mo. | First I'm not real fond of the practice. But our extension used to have yardstick thing they would give you with different heights for different types of grass. Three inches is almost what I'd call grubbed into the ground. I'm thinking maybe move them every week for a full rotation and then take a look at what you have.
I'm just throwing this out there, I have no first hand knowledge other than what I have read, surely somebody on here can tell you more.
