south Texas , York Rife Freemason | lots of IH 86 series tractors here without t/a ,my8 86 was t/a delete from the factory ,had a t/a delete 1086 before the 5088 .the tractors that were not t/a delete got an eliminator shaft when the first t/a failed. some t/a"s do last a long time ,some dont .i had a 706 and a worn out 1066 and both t/a"s never gave any trouble .we had an 856 that liked them though .like the other post said it depends on their use/abuse . |
