Subject: Re: 1063 Corn Head

The water pump bearings in our 963 head have over 7,000 acres on them and we've only had to replace one bearing and that was due to the set screw coming loose which let it spin in the housing. For us the water pump bearings have been well worth the money and I would hate to go back to the grease zerks. I should add that before the water pump bearings we had a worn out 844 head with worn bushings that had to be greased multiple times a day so the later style with greasable bearings might not be too bad.
