| Hey guys new to the cattle business, so have a few questions. Have some heifers and steers in the 550-600 lb range on small pastures 30-50 acres tops. Steers are on fescue pasture, as well as the heifers. The grass the steers are on is a pasture that we just picked up that didn't get fertilizer this year, so the grass isn't the best. The heifers have good fertilized grass. Have trace mineral blocks out now. Is there anything I need besides just the trace mineral blocks, protein blocks perhaps? What do you guys recommend. Sorry if I sound kind of ignorant. I'm mostly a Row crop farmer I started small with the cattle this year and I'm learning as I go. Thanks. | |
