North Mo. | It is just about impossible to increase weight on a cow while milking. At the very least it will be cost prohibitve, esp with tubs. Do you have access to Ddg's, hand feed some if its practicle. Are you breeding your cows now, or are you just done calving. You might consider early weaning if they are too thin for your winters. Most cattle milk too much for my taste I don't like feeding anything other than forage on the stump. Pharo's is ok there are other breeders also that don't go for the high performance cattle. I have a angus bull from a local breeder his momma was 14 yrs old when I bought him he is just at a 5 frame and one of the few angus bulls I have owned that stays in shape year arround. Ben | |
