Here is the link where you can buy an extra hepa filter. I just went and pulled mine to see if it said hepa, didn't, but it took me a total of about 3 seconds to remove it. They are handy to use.

I have not been around many other "good" uprights, only others were cheap $100 ones and you get what you pay for.
