I went for the 3000 hr tractor. I haven't regretted it. I use the tractor to bale, feed, hay, harrow, spray *(8100jd). The 7K tractors were 7120 IH or (not same horsepower) 8970 NH. The Genesis tractor was being sold to Buehler at the time and I didn't know what would be the end result. It had around 5K on it and needed some fixes. It was going to be about 65K fixed up, as was the deere. My cousin bought an NH 8970 recently for $45K. He loves it for running a big baler, and does a fair amount of field work in the hills. Probably the best bang for the buck in the pnw. It had around 4500 hrs. It was my second choice. The deere will start good all winter and summer and has a nice cab.
