Doing no till with a single disc opener has blown the old theory that frost pushes the rocks up out of the ground. We have been doing this now for 12 years,and no new rocks come to the surface. All we have to deal with is the few that we missed after the last tillage pass 12 years ago,and they are hand picked after a crop like field pea that leaves very little surface material so they are easier to spot. I suspect a JD 1895 or a SDX 30-40 would work well.
