I had a similar problem on my 4710. I was doing quite a bit of drop work in high corn and the plants eventually severed a wire going to a front wheel motor. It just took a simple splicing of the wire and it shifts normally again. It happened where the hydraulic lines on the front wheel bow back above the wheel motor shields. Evidently the wiring wasn't tucked behind the hydraulic line good enough.
