My ford dealer also told me that I needed new hubs, but I decided to just live with it. At 60,000 miles it needed new ball joints on the front end, so I tore apart the hubs, cleaned them up, and put new o-rings in both sides while I was working on it. After that, it always went right into 4x4.
To Tom and others: The ONLY reason to turn the auto hubs is if the auto hubs fail to engage due to an electrical or vaccum problem. | |
