Subject: RE: Fuel filter question

I drive an '87 Mercedes 300SDL.
Been doing in about 1 year. It is very time consuming-unless you spend $$$ to buy a filtering system.
It is sloppy and dirty. I have ruined some good clothes because I think that I can play with the oil in my garage without spilling it-but I cant seem to do that!!

Still buy gas for my wifes car(about $20.00/month). I also buy some diesel fuel to start the car when it is cold.
I get the oil from resturants, and that seems to be a little problem, because more and more people are doing this. If you can get a "secure" place to get your oil, it makes it easier.
The only problem I have had is the filter plugging up.
I get about the same miliage, and about the same horsepower, but I dont have any black smoke coming out my tailpipe.
I have a lot of fun with it. People seem to admire me for doing it, but they wont admit it. They call me "fryGuy, Mr. Frenchfry,etc.. I just laugh and ask them how much they spent on gas last month!!

The better fuel miliage you get, the less time you spend collecting and filtering vegie oil.

There are webites such as greasecar.com that talk about it.
