My 1480 combine has a grinding noise at the top of the feeder house when I try to push it a little or when things get tough at night. It sounds like the beater pushing material that won't feed into the rotor. If I push to hard it will plug and stop the feeder. Nothing looks really worn. It's got me baffled. The stone beater does have some play, could this be it?
