northeastern Ohio |
Ken, Corn silage is 55%, which is where I normally ensile. It will juice if we get much higher than 58%.

I've never had a problem with the genuine Harvestore brand chains in any of my other silos. I have 5 other Harvestores, but they are all 20'. The problem is the conveyor chain in the 25'.

I was hoping the oiler would solve the problem too.

I used to get all my parts from Better Bilt, but as I alluded to in the first post, I started having problems with their hooks. Their hooks will not dig as fast as the Harvestore hooks. I cut my loading time in half when I made the switch. Do you deal with Penn/Jersey Harvestore, or is there another dealer out that way? I used to get some parts from the dealer up in Meadville PA, but I haven't been up that way in a long time. He carried stainless bolts and I really liked using those on the unloaders.
