It has the small sprockets. The stone beater extensions are serrated and extended all the way. I'll try taking them off today to see if that helps. Rocks aren't much of an issue as I use a pick-up head and have yet to see one in the trap. I have a victory pick-up. i have seen stones in the trap on a machine with a melroe steel tooth pick-up.It does sound like the material is running out of room in there so hopefully this will help. I'll let you know.
