Service air filters only when needed! How to tell? Restriction indicators. What kind? Well, the ones that come from the factory are not always accurate, especially if it's simply a light that comes on. Best thing to do would be to get yourself an accurate mechanical gauge calibrated in inches of water. Most go from zero to about 40 inches. I wouldn't touch the filter until you saw about 20" at peak load. With today's pre-cleaner systems (aspirators), you'll be very surprised at just how infrequent this is.
