Subject: RE: Please tell me more.

Ed would know more, but the gleaners around here are notorious for not being the best grass seed combines. They separate by 70% wind/30% shake. I know you need a small seed kit with wind boards to cut down the air flow. My understanding is the deere's are the opposite in their wind/shake system. Friend has an n-7 . 1.x mph in grass seed harvest. The IH he had in this year was going about 3mph. Haven't heard how the new deere's are in grass, but they sure fly through peas and lentils (5mph+) compared to the 9600 series. Now the conventional gleaner (CX 62?)they made for awhile will cut at 4+ mph in grass seed. Talked to a guy I trust this summer and he said that. He wondered if he was throwing it out alot, but never found much out the back. Kept pushing it faster. They just didn't make them vary long.
